Who is Lanette King

Lanette King is originally from Kansas City, KS and is a proud alumna of Saint Augustine's University, (B.A., Mass Communications), and Keller University, (MBA).  She has appeared in My Fair Lady (Musical Theater Heritage), Letters from Freedom Summer (UMKC/KC Repertory Theatre), For Colored Girls who have Considered Suicide when the Rainbow is Enuf, Funnyhouse of a Negro, King Hedley II, Single Black Female (KC Melting Pot Theatre) and Project Dawn  (Unicorn Theatre). She has also portrayed Effie in The Kansas City Black Repertory Theatre rendition of Dream Girls in Concert, Every 28 Hours and Along the Line (Fishtank Theatre), and Maya Angelou in LoveJoy's production of Tea with Malcolm and Maya. She has worked in Television, Radio, and Film, not only as an Actress but also as a Writer, Producer, and Editor.  She has made appearances in various commercials, short films and music videos including Hold On by Actor/Musician Idris Elba, and Kathartic by Tech N9ne.
